When the Vikings invaded Waterford they appreciated its strategic value as a major trading port for goods and merchandise, a role it continues to play to this day. A lot of goods both dry and wet were shipped by barrel and a healthy barrel making industry developed in the Waterford area. Barrel makers or coopers as the trade was known continued their craft right up to the twentieth century before they were overtaken by modern technology. IrishEyes1982,

Absolutely love these cocktail glasses. The story behind them, with the Viking history and the barrel-making tradition in Waterford, just adds to their charm. Definitely a steal for $18.00.

CocktailQueen,

I was excited for these glasses, given the price and the backstory. However, they arrived with a minor scratch. It's not a big deal, and I decided to keep them anyway. Quality is good otherwise.

The connection to Ireland's history is what sold me on these glasses. They're great conversation starters at parties. Good quality for the price.

BargainHunter,

For $18.00, these cocktail glasses are a bargain. They look much more expensive than they are and have a rich history to boot.

GadgetGuy,

Compared to other cocktail glasses I've bought, these stand out not just for their design but for their unique backstory. It's a nice touch to have something so rich in history.

DisappointedDiane,

I was underwhelmed by the glasses. Maybe I missed something, but I didn't find them as exquisite as others say. They're nice, but I was expecting more based on the reviews.

Bought these as a gift for a friend who loves unique cocktail glasses. She was thrilled with them, especially the nod to Irish heritage. It feels like we got more than our money's worth.
