The "Etch Mugs" are a celebration of Belleek Pottery's past, with vintage imagery influenced by Victorian prints and printing techniques. These mugs have been inspired by Belleek's now retired method of tissue transfer printing and our archive of copper printing plates. Beautifully detailed engraved copper printing plates were once used to print onto tissue paper, this tissue paper was then used to transfer the print directly onto the ware before it was fired. Although Beleek no longer employ this method of printing, the Etch Mugs are handcrafted in Ireland where the processes of manufacture have remained mostly unchanged for over 160 years.

VintageLoverJen,

These Belleek Etch mugs are simply stunning! The vintage design takes me back in time, and it's fascinating to learn about the history behind the printing technique. Absolutely worth the $18 for the set.

MugCollectorTed,

I've been a collector of Belleek Pottery for years, and this set adds beautifully to my collection. The quality and craftsmanship are what you'd expect from Belleek. Not to mention, it's a steal for the price!

CasualDrinker89,

Bought these mugs on a whim because I liked the design. I'm neither here nor there about the history, but they do make my morning coffee a bit more special.

PrintTechGeek,

As someone who's fascinated by printing techniques, these mugs caught my eye. The detail in the design referencing the old tissue transfer printing process is incredible. It's a conversation starter for sure!

DissatisfiedDoug,

Honestly, I was a bit let down by the Etch Mugs. They're pretty, but I guess I expected more for $18. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't find them as breathtaking as others seem to.

ComparingCarla,

Compared to other Belleek mugs I've purchased, the Etch set is definitely unique with its vintage imagery. It's a nice departure from their usual style, and a great value for the price.

It's important to me that the products I buy are made sustainably and ethically. Knowing these mugs are handcrafted in Ireland with a method that has a low environmental impact makes me feel good about my purchase.

FussyFred,

The mugs are nice, but one of them arrived with a small chip. It's probably just a fluke, but it's disappointing when you're excited about a new set. The design is lovely, though.

MinimalistMike,

I usually go for more minimalistic designs, but there's something about the intricate detail on these mugs that caught my eye. They're more ornate than my usual preference, but I find myself reaching for them every morning.
